The SL1500 Side-Looking Doppler Current Meter is a versatile water-flow monitoring solution designed for accurate measurement of water velocity, water level, and flow in rivers, streams, canals, and other water environments. Its side-looking configuration enables measurements from the bank or other accessible locations without interfering with the flow.

The SL1500 (3G) uses SmartPulseHD® technology to optimize acoustic measurements according to changing water conditions, helping deliver high-quality velocity data across a sampling range of 0.2 to 20 m (0.7 to 66 ft). The system supports multi-cell velocity profiling with up to 128 cells, making it suitable for detailed flow monitoring and discharge calculations.

The SL1500 provides a water-velocity range of ±7 m/s, with resolution down to 0.0001 m/s and accuracy of ±1% of measured velocity ±0.005 m/s.
